Russell Tanner

Vice President of Real Estate
Russell Tanner is Madison Park Development Corporation’s Director of Real Estate. Working in multifamily and senior housing development in for-profit and nonprofit sectors for over two decades, Mr. Tanner possess well-rounded experience in state, federal and local programs for producing affordable housing.  Previously, he consulted nonprofit organizations, local housing authorities and private developers in project planning, permitting, financing and project management for residential development.  Mr. Tanner is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies and Master’s in City Planning.
 

William Gordon
Associate Director of Real Estate
Bill Gordon is MPDC's Associate Director of Real Estate.  He has over 26 years experience developing affordable housing and commercial space through government and private sector funding programs, housing and community advocacy, and construction oversight. While serving as Vice President of The Community Builders (TCB) for Southern New England for 12 years and as a private consultant for 14 years, Gordon has developed 2,847 units of historic, low-income family, elderly, handicapped and other special needs housing and over 200,000 square feet of commercial development.  Gordon holds a BA in English and History from Oberlin College and an MS in International Development Administration from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT.


Loryn Sheffner

Senior Project Manager
Loryn Sheffner manages real estate development projects at MPDC, helping bring projects from the early planning and concept stages through design, permitting, financing, construction and leasing.  Ms. Sheffner brings 15 years of experience in greater Boston working on a wide variety of development projects, including residential, commercial, institutional and recreational uses.  She enjoys working with teams to find creative solutions that accomplish community real estate objectives.  Ms. Sheffner holds a Master of Public Affairs and Urban and Regional Planning from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Brown University.

 
 
Sophia Transtamar
Project Manager
Sophia Transtamar joined Madison Park Development Corporation in January 2014.  She is responsible for preparing budgets, schedules and quality control for various projects.   With extensive training and experience, Sophia brings her strong leadership and planning skills --  delivering high quality, on-time results.  Sophia studied housing policy and community economic development on the graduate level at Tufts University, with undergraduate studies completed at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
 
 
Laura Martin
Project Manager
Laura Martin joined MPDC in August 2014.  She graduated from MIT's masters in city planning program in June 2014. Laura became familiar with Boston's community-driven development through an internship with MPDC in January 2014 and with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston's Affordable Development Housing Competition. Before settling in Boston, Laura lived in New Hampshire working in the geography department at Dartmouth College.
 
 
Ricky Ochilo
Project Manager
Ricky Ochilo is one of MPDC's Project Managers in Real Estate.  He is a fellow with the Keuhn Charitable Foundation.  Prior to joining MPDC, Ochilo worked at Nuestra Comunidad, Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership, and The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.  Ricky also served as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer with The Neighborhood Developers in Chelsea, MA as an Outreach Specialist.  Ochilo earned his dual Master's in Public Policy and Business Administration in Nonprofit Management at Brandeis University's Heller School of Social Policy and Management.
 
 
Dwayne Watts
Commercial Leasing Manager
Dwayne Watts is Madison Park Development Corporation’s Commercial Leasing Manager. Mr. Watts manages the daily activities of the commercial leasing operations for the agency.  He is responsible for all leasing functions, which may include reviewing and negotiating lease transactions and agreements. He oversees completion of all necessary paperwork and ensures proper customer service. He is responsible for the productivity and budgetary performance of the commercial leasing program and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  He performs a variety of complicated tasks and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
 
 
Katrina Conrad-Gwyn
Project Associate
Katrina Conrad-Gwyn joined Madison Park Development Corporation in November 2012 as the administrative assistant for Real Estate.  She has over 15 years of administrative experience.  Her primary responsibilities include compiling property management reports, handling the requisition submission process, and responding to lenders’/funders’/investors’ concerns.  She is expanding her activities and real estate knowledge to include some project management functions.  She is an Accredited Residential Manager through the Institute of Real Estate Management.  Katrina resides in Mattapan with her two children, Amina and Kobe.
