Explore the works of more than 70 Roxbury artists by visiting their studios and group show locations during the 2010 Roxbury Open Studios on Saturday and Sunday, October 2 & 3. An opening reception will be held at the National Center of Afro-American Artists at 300 Walnut Avenue in Roxbury on Friday evening, October 1, 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Now in its twelfth year, Roxbury Open Studios is an annual two-day self-guided tour that invites the general public to interact with Roxbury-based artists working in a wide range of media. The event is free and open to the public and will feature works for sale, including photography, paintings, quilts, jewelry, sculpture, mixed media and home décor.

Roxbury Open Studios is produced by Madison Park Development Corporation, which promotes arts and culture for their own sake and as a vehicle for economic development.  The weekend increases the visibility of Roxbury artists and their work, and aims to help residents economically and professionally. Roxbury is home to renowned artists and is the location of the Museum of the National Center of Afro-American Artists.
