MPDC's Peer Health Leader program started February off with a focus on healthy eating during an informative supermarket tour (sponsored by Tropical Foods) and a juicing and smoothie demonstration held at the Haynes House in Madison Park Village. Over 50 residents attended the hands-on educational sessions and learned about nutrition and how to prepare healthy meals.

Special thanks to Peer Health Leaders Evelyn Sierra, Amarillis Reyes, Pauline Sheridan, Niliana Carbonell and Antonio Gonzalez for all their help welcoming residents, handing out nutrition information, preparing samples and organizing our residents.  MPDC's Health and Wellness team are planning many more activities for our residents this year.  Stay tuned!
